Dynamite Found In Deceased Lower Merion Man's Fridge
While cleaning the decedent's home, family members found multiple sticks of dynamite in the fridge.
While family members of a deceased Lower Merion man were cleaned his home, they found something... interesting in the fridge: dynamite.
According to Lower Merion Township Public Information Officer Tom Walsh, 10 sticks of dynamite were found Monday morning, prompting response from fire and police officials, as well as a bomb squad.
The home is located at 216 Lauren Lane in Haverford, a fairly dense neighborhood, Walsh said.

As of about noon, Walsh said fire and EMS crews were still on scene in an "abundance of caution."
Philly.com reports the home belonged to Ritner E. Walling, who died at 81 last month.

Walsh said officials are unsure of what dynamite was doing in the home, saying Walling's profession – which is unknown at this tome – could have led him to have dynamite.
Patch will update the story as more information is made available on the situation.
