EMS Strong: Called to Care: Narberth Ambulance Reaches Out to Educate the Community during EMS Week (May 15-21)

Ambulance tours, blood pressure screenings, book readings, safety tips and more will be held at numerous locations around the area.

Ardmore, PA…Want to learn first aid and safety skills, show your kids the inside of an ambulance, check your blood pressure and learn about important ways you could make a difference in the lives of others?

Narberth Ambulance will be out and about in the community during National EMS Week, which runs from May 15-21, giving the public the opportunity to do all of these things. This year’s theme, “EMS Strong: Called to Care,” is a powerful and timely reminder of those who make a commitment to provide lifesaving services each and every day.

During its visits throughout the community, Narberth Ambulance will be providing:

· The chance to tour the ambulance and check out its state-of-the-art equipment

· Free blood pressure screenings

· Free literature on avoiding falls and other safety tips

· Information on how to support the mission of Narberth Ambulance

· Fun activities for kids

Opportunities to meet up with Narberth Ambulance have been scheduled for the following dates and locations:

· Tuesday, May 17 at 10 AM - Ludington Library (5 S. Bryn Mawr Ave, Bryn Mawr). This event will include a book reading for kids.

· Wednesday, May 18 at 10:30 AM – Bala Library (131 Old Lancaster Rd, Bala Cynwyd). This event will include a book reading for kids.

· Wednesday, May 18 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM– Ardmore Dunkin Donuts, (12 Greenfield Ave)

· Thursday May, 19 from 5:00 PM- 6:30 PM - Ricklin’s Hardware (203 Haverford Ave, Narberth).

· Saturday, May 21 from noon – 3 PM - Ardmore Community Health Fair at Vernon Young Park and the Ardmore Avenue Community Center (located at 122 Ardmore Avenue in Ardmore).
