Flooding Causing Backups On Interstates 95, 76

PennDOT reported flooding on numerous parts of Interstate 95 and Interstate 76 after Thursday's storms rolled through the region.

PHILADELPHIA — Flooding due to heavy rains is making Thursday's commute slow on parts of Interstates 96 and 76 in the Philadelphia region, according to PennDOT.

PennDOT has reported flooding along the two major routes, much of which had cleared.

Still, traffic on Interstate 76 west near Conshohocken and on Interstate 95 north near the US Route 322 exit is moving very slowly, PennDOT cameras show.

Eastbound Interstate 76 is seeing slowdowns near the Girard Avenue exit up to the Interstate 676 exit, video shows.

PennDOT reported flooding has cleared in the following areas:

  • I-76 eastbound at Mile Post: 337.5.
  • I-95 northbound at Exit 17 - PA 611 Broad St.
  • I-95 northbound at Exit 4 - US 322 East/Commodore Barry Bridge
  • I-95 southbound at Mile Post: 3.0
  • I-95 northbound at Exit 7 - I-476 North
  • I-76 eastbound at Mile Post: 335.0
  • I-76 eastbound at Mile Post: 330.0
  • I-476 northbound at Mile Post: 9.5
