For Ardmore Softball League, It's Maggie's vs. McShea's in Championship
At South Ardmore Park Wednesday night, Peabody's Pub fell to Maggie's 13-1.
, it was just about the softball Wednesday night at South Ardmore Park. So it was Peabody's Pub against Maggie's for a spot in the championship game on Monday.
Going into the bottom of the third inning, Maggie's was ahead 9-0. Scoring only one run by the time the inning was over, Peabody's was at least able to put their mark on the scoreboard. Peabody's players were getting ahold of the ball, but Maggie's outfielders were tremendous, rarely missing a fly ball that came their way.
Peabody's has little to be ashamed of, having won five championships in the past seven years. To them, the league is the perfect median between slow pitch and fast pitch softball.
