Free Family Recovery Course Offers Support, Guidance for Loved Ones Impacted by Substance Use
Be a Part of the Conversation: Family Recovery Course

Families navigating a loved one’s substance use often face uncertainty, isolation, and an overwhelming number of questions. A free, multi-week Family Recovery Course is now available to provide education, connection, and practical tools for those seeking support in Montgomery County and beyond.
Hosted by Be a Part of the Conversation, the course is designed specifically for parents, caregivers, and family members impacted by a loved one’s substance use.
Participants will learn about the science of addiction, communication strategies, boundary-setting, and ways to support both their loved one and themselves. The course also creates a safe space for families to connect with others who understand what they are going through.

“Families are often the first to recognize when something is wrong, but they are rarely given the tools or support they need,” said a representative from Be a Part of the Conversation. “This course helps families move from crisis and confusion to clarity, confidence, and connection.”
The Family Recovery Course is led by trained facilitators with lived experience and professional expertise. Each session builds on the last, offering a structured yet compassionate approach to navigating substance use within the family.
