How Much Rain Did Saturday's Storm Drop In Lower Merion?

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — In case you missed it, Saturday was quite the day for weather in Southeastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey, as a major storm system barreled through the region.

The storm brought hail, strong winds, countless lightning strikes, tornado warnings and watches, and of course heavy rain.

In fact, one tornado was confirmed in Bucks County and five were confirmed in New Jersey.

But how much rain fell in the Lower Merion Township area?

According to the National Weather Service, Merion Station had the highest reported rainfall total on the Main Line, with 0.72 inches of rain.

Bryn Mawr had the second-highest rainfall total from Saturday. The National Weather Service reported 0.61 inches of rain.

Penn Wynne wasn't hurting for rain Saturday, either.

The NWS reported 0.6 inches of rain there.

Collegeville and Harleysville had the highest rainfall totals from Saturday, with 1.11 and 1.09 inches, respectively.
