Hyundai, Jeep, Dodge Vehicles Stolen: Lower Merion Crime Blotter

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township released details on recent crime incidents in the township.

Incidents occurred between April 10 and April 16.

April 16

• Theft of Vehicle (Wynnewood) - Victim reported that their Hyundai was stolen from the driveway of their residence in the overnight hours. The investigation into this incident is continuing.
• Theft from Vehicle (Wynnewood) - Victim reported that their unlocked Jeep was entered, and the glove box was gone through overnight, was parked along the street in front of their residence. The investigation into this incident is continuing.
• Theft (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim advised that they arranged to meet with a party in order to sell an ATV they listed on Facebook Marketplace. The victim advised that this male requested to test drive the ATV and did not return the ATV, fleeing into Philadelphia. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

April 12

• Theft of Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim advised that their Jeep was stolen from the parking lot of their apartment complex overnight. Officers discovered broken glass from the passenger side of the vehicle on the ground where the Jeep was parked. The investigation into this incident is continuing.
• Attempted Theft of Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim discovered that their Dodge was entered overnight while parked in a parking lot of their apartment complex. The wheel lock and steering column were tampered with, and the rear window of the vehicle was found to be removed. The investigation into this incident in continuing.
• Theft of Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim discovered that their Dodge was stolen from the parking lot of their apartment complex overnight. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.

April 11

• Theft from Vehicle (Wynnewood) - Victim discovered that the driver's door of his BMW was open and found that the interior of the vehicle had been gone. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

April 10

• Theft of Vehicle (Wynnewood) - Victim entered their Hyundai and discovered the interior of the vehicle had been gone through. Victim also discovered damage to the steering column in an attempt to steal the vehicle. The investigation into this incident is continuing.
