Impaired Driving Crackdown Underway In Lower Merion Township

Lower Merion Township Police will be conducting impaired driving patrols around the township through the end of the month.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township will be cracking down on impaired driving through the rest of the month.

Impaired driving patrols will be roving the township now through June 30.

This initiative is in partnership with a national impaired driving crackdown featuring intensified, highly visible enforcement activities using the tagline "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over."

The focus will be on finding motorists who are operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances.

Roving patrol details are funded by a PennDOT grant and are one of many tools used to increase public safety through increased awareness created by high profile enforcement.
