Warrant Issued In Main Line Home Invasion That Killed 1, Hurt Another
Kelvin Roberts, 42, of Philadelphia, is wanted for shooting a man to death and leaving his mother critically injured Sunday in Wynnewood.

WYNNEWOOD, PA — After a man was killed and his mother critically hurt in Sunday's deadly Main Line home invasion, authorities have issued a warrant for a Philadelphia man's arrest in connection with the incident and believe at least one other suspect is at large.
Montgomery County authorities said the Wynnewood home invasion left Andrew Gaudio, 25, dead and his mother, 61-year-old Bernadette Gaudio, critically injured. Both were shot in the home they shared, according to authorities.
On Monday afternoon, authorities announced an arrest warrant for Kelvin Roberts, 42, of Philadelphia. He is wanted on charges of second-degree murder, burglary, robbery, and related crimes.

The incident took place at about 2:20 a.m. Sunday at 9 Meredith Road in the Wynnewood section of Lower Merion Township, authorities said.
According to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office, Bernadette Gaudio called 911 and told dispatchers she and her son were the victims of a home invasion and shooting.
While on the phone with Bernadette Gaudio, dispatchers heard sounds of someone rummaging through the home she shared with her son.
When police arrived, they found Andrew Gaudio dead with five gunshot wounds — including one to the head — and Bernadette Gaudio conscious but suffering from several gunshot wounds. Bernadette Gaudio was taken to Lakenau Medical Center, where she underwent. She is still critical.
During a search of the crime scene, authorities found a hammer, zip ties, and 11 spent shell casings, three of which were from a 9mm gun and eight from a .25 caliber firearm. The two different shell casings led authorities to believe at least two people were involved in the home invasion.
A Lower Merion Police Patrol vehicle's dashboard camera captured the officer pulling in front of a white Hyundai Azera, driven by Roberts, leaving the scene of the homicide, authorities said. The vehicle had a handicap Pennsylvania Registration 24963.
During a search through PennDOT records, detectives matched the Hyundai to a resident on the 5900 block of Sansom Street in Philadelphia. The vehicle should have had a registration reading MLF8109. The vehicle owner later told investigators she never knew the vehicle to have a different license plate.
At the Sansom Street address, police spoke to a teenage boy. They showed him a photo of the suspect in the Hyundai Azera, and he identified the driver as Roberts, his mother's boyfriend.
An investigation into the vehicle revealed it was stopped in March 2024 with Roberts behind the wheel.
Investigators pulled video surveillance from the 5900 block of Sansom Street and saw a white vehicle consistent with the Hyundai driving up the block. Also captured on video was a man who authorities said is Roberts, holding two large bags.
Video also captured the stolen green 2004 Jeep Cherokee pulling up to the block and stopping next to the man believed to be Roberts. A man was seen getting out of the Jeep, and authorities said one of the men could be heard saying "he came out the room."
The two men then walked toward the Sansom Street home referenced above, but the camera angle did not capture them entering the residence.
Authorities later obtained a search warrant for the Sansom Street residence, and found an empty gun box, a bag of live ammunition, a safe containing live ammunition and the Hyundai's title, a gun cleaning kit, and other items, including a jewelry box that Bernadette Gaudio confirmed to belong to her, telling investigators she watched one of the suspects take it during the home invasion.
According to authorities, the Sansom Street resident contacted Roberts when she saw photos of the suspect circulating and asked him questions, which authorities said led Roberts to hang up on her.
On Monday, she told investigators she saw Roberts in her home at about 11:45 p.m. Saturday, and saw him again at about 10 a.m. Sunday as she left her home. When she returned to her home Sunday, Roberts was gone, and so was the white Hyundai. When she spoke with police Sunday, she told investigators she did not know where the vehicle was.

Also found on the dash camera footage was a green Jeep Cherokee, later revealed to be owned by the victim, leaving the scene.
The Jeep Cherokee stolen from Meredith Street was found a block from the above Sansom Street residence and taken in for processing.
Montgomery County court records show Roberts pleaded guilty to a firearm charge in 2004 and in September this year was charged with felony receiving stolen property and theft by unlawful taking.
In Philadelphia, Roberts has pleaded guilty to simple assault, unlawful restraint, and drug violations, according to court documents.
Authorities said he is wanted in Philadelphia for commercial burglary and was entered into the National Crime Information Center database by North Wales Police for receiving stolen property.
