Lower Merion Cops Cracking Down On DUI Father's Day Weekend

Police in Lower Merion will be targeting DUI drivers over Father's Day weekend.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — A DUI crackdown is coming to Lower Merion Township over Father's Day weekend, according to police.

Police said they will be conducting Impaired Driving Roving Patrols throughout the Township Thursday, June 13 through Monday, June 17.

This initiative is in partnership with a national impaired driving crackdown featuring intensified, highly visible enforcement activities using the tagline "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over."

The focus will be on finding motorists who are operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances.

Roving Patrol Details are funded by a PennDOT grant and are one of many tools used to increase public safety through increased awareness created by high profile enforcement.
