Lower Merion Deer Culling Begins In January
Culling operations will take place overnight from January to April in various areas of Lower Merion Township. See more info here.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – Recently, Lower Merion Township officials reached an agreement with state officials to continue its deer culling program after the township was denied a permit to cull deer last year.
Now, township officials said culling operations will begin in January and last until April.
According to Lower Merion officials, culling operations will take place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. in areas of the township where the deer population is burgeoning.

Police will work with large property owners as the program continues through winter and spring.
Crews from the United States Department of Agriculture will conduct the culls while police oversee the operations.

All deer harvested will be donated to local food banks, township officials said.
