Lower Merion Police Conducting DUI Patrols For St Paddy's Weekend

Lower Merion Township Police are planning to conduct impaired driving roving patrols over the holiday weekend.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township will be out in force over St. Patrick's Day weekend looking to get any impaired drivers off the roads.

Impaired driving roving patrols will take place throughout the township Thursday through Sunday.

The focus will be on finding motorists who are operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances.

This initiative is in partnership with a national impaired driving crackdown featuring intensified, highly visible enforcement activities using the tagline “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.”

Roving Patrol Details are funded by a PennDOT grant and are one of many tools used to increase public safety through increased awareness created by high profile enforcement.
