Lower Merion Police Department Is Hiring Officers
Interested parties can apply now through Sept. 30. Testing is scheduled for Oct. 25.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township are accepting applications for probationary police officers.
Interested parties can apply now through 4 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 30.
Probationary officers earn $71,675 annually without Act 120 training and $80,350 after completing the training.

Applicants must have at least 20/70 vision, uncorrected, in the stronger eye, correctable to 20/20; and at least 20/200, uncorrected, in the weaker eye, correctable to at least 20/40; have normal depth perception, normal color vision, and must be free from any significant visual abnormality.

Testing for applications will take place at 9 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 25 at the Lower Merion High School Cafeteria, 315 E. Montgomery Ave. in Ardmore.

Applications have a $30 fee. Additionally, the online form has a separate fee paid to the township’s third-party processing firm of 2.45 percent of the total transaction, with a $2.45 minimum charge. Credit cards accepted include Discover, American Express, Visa and MasterCard.
