LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township issued information on a month's worth of crime incidents in the township.
The incidents all occurred in April.

April 27
Theft from Motor Vehicle (Penn Wynne) - Theft of (2) LMSD laptops from victim’s unlocked vehicle.

Theft of Bicycle (Merion) - Victim reports that his son’s Trek Marlin bicycle was removed from the front porch sometime in the overnight hours.
Theft from Motor Vehicle (Penn Wynne) - Victim reports that his unlocked vehicle was entered sometime overnight. Cell phone, key fob, and loose change taken.
Attempted Theft from Motor Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim’s unlocked vehicle parked in his driveway was entered and rummaged through. Nothing missing.
April 26
Theft of Motor Vehicle - On April 26th officers responded to the Bryn Mawr section of the Township on the report of a stolen 2008 Jeep Cherokee. The vehicle was stolen from the driveway between 0600 and 1200 this date and investigation continuing.
April 24
Criminal Mischief to Residence - On April 24th officers responded to two separate reports of criminal mischief to residences in the Bala Cynwyd and Ardmore sections of the Township. The complainants reported eggs being smashed and thrown at their vehicles and front doors.
April 22
Theft From Motor Vehicle - Victim reports his unlocked vehicle was entered overnight. Several items reported stolen and later recovered by officers.
Theft of Motor Vehicle - While investigating the above incident, another resident reported to officers that her vehicle was stolen overnight, and the GPS showed it was in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. PPD was advised and arrested 42 W/M operator.
Theft from Building - Employee of company reported almost $6,000 in cash missing from machine. Three male actors possibly removed the cash with a key. Company has had similar thefts recently.
April 19
Theft from Building - Theft of approximately $4,000 worth of power tools from a storage container within the construction site.
Criminal Mischief to Motor Vehicle - Two tires slashed on a vehicle parked in the resident’s driveway. Occurred during overnight hours.
April 18
Attempted Theft from Motor Vehicle (Wynnewood) - At 0117 hours, two subjects walked up the driveway, entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle, and rummaged through the interior. Nothing was taken. Actors described as “young males wearing hooded sweatshirts and masks.”
Theft from Motor Vehicles (Bala Cynwyd) - At 0416 hours, victim’s unlocked vehicle parked in their driveway was entered. A pair of Airpods and ten dollars were taken.
Criminal Mischief to Residence (Ardmore) - Victim discovered several exterior windows damaged by rocks.
April 17
Attempted Burglary (Belmont Hills) - Sometime between 2100 hours on 4/16 and 0755 hours on 4/17 the lock to the front door was punched, and an attempt was made to pry open a window on the side. No entry was gained.
Theft from Motor Vehicle (Merion) - The victim left their 2002 Nissan Pathfinder parked and locked in the driveway at the above address since January 2022. They returned on 4/16 to find the doors still locked, but items stolen from the trunk.
April 17
Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts (Narberth) - Late report from witness of someone under a car cutting off the catalytic convertor. Three individuals left in a dark blue sedan towards Narberth PD at around 0100 hours after stealing one of the two convertors from a Toyota Highlander.
Graffiti (Ardmore) - Two juveniles were stopped and identified after a call of graffiti at the Cricket Square Condos. TOT Parents.
April 12
Theft from Building (Ardmore) - Employee arrested for theft of over 2000 narcotic pills from the pharmacy.
April 11
Burglary (Bryn Mawr) - Numerous tools from the construction area on the first floor were stolen. No signs of forced entry and no one was seen.
Sexual Assault (Ardmore) - Adult female victim reported a sexual assault that occurred on 4/5/22.
Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts (Bala Cynwyd) - Catalytic converter stolen from the victim’s 2009 Honda CRV that was parked in the parking lot.
April 9
Theft (Ardmore) - Victim parked her vehicle in the parking lot near the Ardmore Farmers Market. When she returned she discovered that three envelopes containing checks totaling $55,000 had been taken from the front passenger seat of her unlocked vehicle.
Attempted Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts (Wynnewood) - Three males taken into custody after being observed cutting the catalytic convertor off a Honda SUV.
April 6
Criminal Mischief to Auto (Wynnewood) - Victim reports his 2004 Subaru Impreza was keyed while parked in the lot at the above location.
April 4, 2022
Robbery (Bala Cynwyd) - B/M wearing camouflage stole a pair of shorts and was confronted by Loss Prevention. Actor exposed a black semi auto with an extended mag. Actor left in a sedan from lower-level which officers attempted to stop while in the lot. Investigation continuing.
April 2
Criminal Mischief to Residence (Ardmore) - At about 2300 hours two juvenile males, about 6 ft. tall and wearing dark clothing were seen throwing stones and breaking windows. They were last seen leaving the area in a dark colored Honda Civic or Acura.
April 1
Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts (Penn Valley) - Catalytic converter stolen from a 2008 Honda CRV.
