LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township are looking to bring on a technology/database specialist at the department.

The job pays $37.042 an hour, or $77,047 per year.

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A minimum of three years IT experience, with a government or law enforcement setting preferred.

The job will be given based on merit, work experience, training, education, testing, employee record and interview.

Through coordination with the Information Technology Department, the specialist maintains and manages police technology related hardware including, but not limited to, mobile video recorders, vehicle laptops, document scanners, automated license plate readers, LiveScan processing center, and video arraignment equipment.

The specialist will works under the general supervision of the Police Department’s Auxiliary Services Unit commander.
