Maggie's Takes Ardmore Softball League Championship
The Ardmore Women Softball League ended its season with an undefeated squad falling to a hot Maggie O'Neill's.
In a double elimination championship game, Maggie O'Neill's and McShea's set off on Monday night at South Ardmore Park. McShea's had been undefeated throughout the entire season, while Maggie's stood 6-4.
Judie Farrelly, captain of McShea's, was "excited and nervous" before the game, despite playing for the team since 1988.
"We haven't been in the finals for a long time," Farrelly said. "And of course there's a lot of pressure on us because we've been undefeated all season. We just want to win this game and get it over with."
