Police, FBI Seek Man Who Robbed 2 Main Line Banks

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – The FBI and Lower Merion Police are on the hunt for a serial bank robber who robbed two banks – one being hit twice – in the Lower Merion Township.

According to the FBI, the robberies occurred on Sept. 21 at the TD Bank at 401 W. Lancaster Ave. in the Haverford section of Lower Merion; Oct. 22 at a Citizens Bank branch in Bryn Mawr; and again at the same TD Bank branch in Haverford on Nov. 23.

Authorities said the man came into the TD Bank branch at about 6:12 p.m. on Nov. 23.

He went up to the teller and demanded money, the FBI said. After getting an undisclosed amount of cash he fled the bank on foot, authorities said.

The man is believed to be the same male who committed similar bank robberies at the same TD Bank branch on Sept. 21 and at the Citizens Bank in Bryn Mawr on Oct. 22.

He is described as a black man in his 30s standing 5 feet 10 inches to 6feet 1 inch tall with a medium build and black hair.

In the November robbery, he was wearing a green hoodie with a baseball cap underneath, large black sunglasses, and black cloth gloves.

On Oct. 22, he was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, white and black ball cap, sunglasses, and jeans.

In September, the suspect was wearing a gray sweatsuit, gray San Francisco 49ers hat, sunglasses, a gray fabric/mask, and gloves, earning himself the "Gray Bandit" moniker from authorities.

The FBI said the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
