Man Convicted Of Burglarizing Slain Model's Ardmore Apartment

ARDMORE, PA — A Philadelphia man was found guilty of breaking into and stealing from an Ardmore woman's apartment days before she was killed in the same apartment back in 2018.

Andre Melton, 32, of Philadelphia, was found guilty of burglary, criminal trespassing, theft by unlawful taking, and receiving stolen property — all felony charges — recently, court records show.

Melton broke into the Sibley Avenue apartment of Christina Kraft, 36, on Aug. 18, 2018.

Melton stole thousands of dollars worth of jewelry, keys, and the title to a BMW, a Social Security card, credit cards, high-end handbags, and other items after giving Kraft, who was intoxicated, a ride to her apartment on that date.

Days later on Aug. 22, Kraft, a former model who posed in Playboy among other publications, was strangled to death in her apartment by Jonathan Wesley Harris, 31, of Johnstown. Harris was convicted of Kraft's murder and given a life sentence.

Melton is slated to be sentenced on March 2, 2019, according to court documents.
