Man Who Sexually Assaulted Child In Villanova Sentenced

Colin Forwood was sentenced to 6 to 23 months in jail as well as 5 years of probation after pleading guilty to sex assaults of a young girl.

VILLANOVA, PA — A Philadelphia man who admitted to sexually assaulting a girl under 13 years old in the Villanova section of Lower Merion was sentenced to prison time, probation, and sex offender status recently, according to court records and a news report.

Colin Cornelius Forwood, 32, of Philadelphia, was ordered to spend 6 to 23 months in prison and five years of probation after admitting to sexually assaulting a young girl between August 2016 and February 2017, according to court records.

Forwood pleaded guilty to indecent assault and stalking on March 19, according to court records.

He was sentenced to prison time on the indecent assault charge and probation on the stalking charge.

Forwood was also ordered to be registered under Megan's Law for 15 years and will be under sex offender supervision and is eligible for work release while imprisoned, records show.

Montgomery News reports Forwood assaulted a girl under 13 years old between August 2016 and February 2017 at a Cedar Lane home in the Villanova section of Lower Merion Township.

Authorities investigated Forwood in December 2017 after the victim told police she had been sexually assaulted by Forwood, who touched her and made her touch him, the outlet reports.
