Christmas Killing At Philly Hotel Lands Murder Charge for Montco Man
A Gilbertsville man is accused of killing another person in the Sheraton Hotel in Philadelphia on Christmas Day.
GILBERTSVILLE, PA — A Montgomery County man is facing murder and related charges after authorities said he killed another person in a Philadelphia hotel on Christmas.
Authorities charged Mehkial Heredia, 24, of Gilberstville, Montgomery County, with murder, burglary, and possession of an instrument of crime in connection with the death.
According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the man was found at about 3 p.m. Sunday at the Shertaon Hotel, 201 N. 17th Street.

A 37-year-old man was found in the hotel with a gunshot wound to the head, Fox 29 reports.
He was pronounced dead shortly after being found.

The victim's identity has not been released.
Action News reports the victim was meeting with Heredia's ex-boyfriend at the hotel and the killing was an act of jealousy.
