Lower Merion Roads Still Dealing With Storm Impacts

On Monday, nearly 90 township roads were reeling from the storm. As of Tuesday night, only about 20 are still affected by impacts.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – About 20 Lower Merion Township roads are still dealing with impacts from last week's major nor'easter that slammed the area with rain, snow, and winds.

According to the township, roughly 20 roads are still experiencing some sort of impact from the storm as of Tuesday night.

Additionally, PECO shows more than 1,00 customers in Lower Merion Township are still without power.

The Gladwyne, Penn Wynne, Ardmore, and Bryn Mawr fire houses are open as warming/charging stations, the township said.

The Gladwyne and Ardmore fire houses are open 24 hours and the Penn Wynne and Bryn Mawr fire houses from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Lower Merion School District is closed Wednesday due to the coming storm.

The township has enacted a snow emergency for Wednesday as well.

The township reminds driver they are required by law to stop at any intersection where the traffic signal is not working and treat it like a four-way stop sign.
