Man Killed In Ardmore Hit-And-Run Identified, Driver Cooperating
Police said Carter Wilson, 51, was killed when a driver struck him on Ardmore Avenue Thursday night.
ARDMORE, PA — Lower Merion Police have identified the man struck and killed by a driver Thursday night in Ardmore and said the driver has come forward but charges have not been filed.
According to police, Carter Wilson, 51, of Ardmore, was struck by a driver at about 5:49 p.m. Thursday at Ardmore Avenue near School Lane.
Carter was struck by a driver heading north while he was crossing Ardmore Avenue.

The vehicle and driver drove off after hitting the man, who was taken to Lankenau Hospital where he later died.

Police said at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday the driver and his lawyer contacted police and have been cooperating with the investigation.
The driver turned over a 2020 White Jeep Grand Cherokee to police.
No charges have been filed yet.
