Vigil Planned For Man Killed In Ardmore Hit-And-Run

The Ardmore and surrounding community is invited to remember the 51-year-old man who was killed in a hit-and-run crash Thursday night.

ARDMORE, PA — A 51-year-old man was hit and killed by a driver who fled the scene Thursday evening in Ardmore. And now the community is planning a vigil to remember him.

St Mary's Ardmore and the Ardmore Food Pantry are hosting a vigil Saturday in honor of Carter Wilson, 51.

Wilson was struck by a driver while crossing Ardmore Avenue at about 5:49 p.m. Thursday in Ardmore. The driver left the scene but later turned himself in to police. Charges have not been filed yet.

Wilson was taken to Lankenau Medical Center where he died from his injuries.

The vigil will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday in front of St. Mary's, 36 Ardmore Ave. in Ardmore.
