Philadelphia Woman Killed In NJ Highway Crash
A 57-year-old Philadelphia woman and a 29-year-old New Jersey man died in a crash on the Garden State Parkway Wednesday evening.

PHILADELPHIA — A Philadelphia woman died in a crash on a New Jersey highway Wednesday, according to authorities.
New Jersey State Police said Sandra Vanderslice, 57, of Philadelphia, died as a result of a crash that occurred at about 8:23 p.m. Wednesday in Clifton, New Jersey. The crash killed one other person and injured others.
According to police, Vanderslice lost control of the GMC Suburban she was driving.

Authorities say the car ran off the left side of the road, striking a concrete barrier.
The car was overturned after striking the barrier, and entered the northbound lanes of traffic, striking four other vehicles.

Vanderslice, as well as a passenger in another vehicle, Maxim Viscio, 29, of Jersey City, were both pronounced dead at the scene, State Police Sgt. Lawrence Peele told Patch Thursday.
One person sustained serious injuries, while three others sustained "moderate" injuries. Two others involved in the crash were uninjured, authorities said.
The northbound lanes of the highway were closed for approximately four hours, state police said.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.
