Police Hiring Probationary Officers In Lower Merion

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — The Lower Merion Police Department is hiring, and interested parties can apply now through early November.

The department is hiring for the position of Probationary Police Officers.

Probationary officers earn a $71,675 salary and can get a slew of benefits.

Applications are being accepted until 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4.

There is a $30 application fee.

Completed hard copy applications should be submitted to the Staff & Inspections Unit at the Lower Merion Police Department, 71 E. Lancaster Ave., Ardmore, PA 19003-2323.

A written test will be held on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 9 a.m. in the Lower Merion High School cafeteria, 315 E. Montgomery Ave. in Ardmore.

The physical fitness test will take place at 7:30 a.m. the next day, Sunday, Nov. 13, at the Harriton High School track, 600 N. Ithan Ave. in Bryn Mawr.

Applicants must have vision of at least 20/70, uncorrected, in the stronger eye, correctable to 20/20; and at least 20/200, uncorrected, in the weaker eye, correctable to at least 20/40; have normal depth perception, normal color vision, and must be free from any significant visual abnormality.
