Police Seek Help Identifying Man Killed On City Avenue

A man was struck and killed running across City Avenue Tuesday morning and Lower Merion Police are asking for help identifying him.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — A man was struck by driver on City Avenue Tuesday and died due to his injuries. Now Lower Merion Police are trying to identify him.

According to police, a man was struck while running across City Avenue, north of Overbrook Parkway, at about 9 a.m. Tuesday.

The pedestrian was treated by paramedics, then taken to Lankenau Medical Center where he died.

Police said the pedestrian has not been identified and are seeking help from anyone who can.

He is described as a white man in his 50s or 60s standing about 6 feet tall with a medium build. His hair is close-cropped, and he was wearing two shirts: a red 2008 Phillies Champions T-shirt and a rose-colored New England Patriots T-shirt reading "Free Brady." He also was wearing blue Adidas sweat pants with white stripes down the sides, and size 11 blue Asics GT-2000 sneakers.

The striking driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with police.
