Robbery Burglary, Pick Pocketing, More: Lower Merion Crime Blotter

Lower Merion Police said a person was punched in the face while a suspect tried to take items from their pockets in Wynnewood Sept. 25.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township issued information on a week's worth of crime incidents in the township recently.

Incidents occurred between Sept. 22 and Sept. 28 in various township neighborhoods.

Sept. 28

  • Attempt Theft From Motor Vehicle (Merion) - Victims passenger window was smashed and the vehicle was gone through.
  • Commercial Burglary (Penn Valley) - Business was forcible entered and a bicycle was stolen.

  • Theft Of Wallet (Ardmore) - Victims wallet was taken while in a restaurant.

Sept. 26

  • Theft From Motor Vehicle (Wynnewood) - Male was arrested after observed pulling on car door handles.

Sept. 25

  • Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts (Belmont Hills) - Catalytic converter removed from a vehicle while parked in a parking lot over the weekend.
  • Robbery Strong Arm (Wynnewood) - Victim was punched in the face while actor attempted to take items from the victim's pocket.
  • Theft/Fraud (Bala Cynwyd) - Late reported of a gas pump scam.

Sept. 24

  • Pick Pocket (Ardmore) - Victims wallet was stolen while shopping.

Sept. 22

  • Theft from Building ( Bala Cynwyd) - Victim reported that three boxes were missing from their apartment while moving out.
  • Theft Of Bicycle (Ardmore) - Victim's unsecured bicycle was taken from the courtyard in Suburban Square.
  • Burglary (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim's apartment was forcible entered and several items were taken.
