Robbery, Burglary, Theft, More: Lower Merion Crime Blotter

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion released details on recent crimes in the township.

These incidents occurred between Sept. 27 and Oct. 10.

Oct. 10

• Theft from Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - The victim reported that their Volkswagen was entered and gone through overnight while parked outside their apartment complex. Two firearms were removed from the trunk area of the vehicle. The investigation into the incident is continuing.

Oct. 9

• Theft of Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - The victim reported that sometime between Oct. 6 and this date their Nissan was stolen from the parking lot of their apartment complex. Broken glass was discovered in the parking space where the vehicle was last parked. The investigation into the incident was continuing.
• Robbery (Bala Cynwyd) - The victim reported that while approaching their vehicle in the parking garage of their apartment complex they were approached by two armed actors who demand their keys, wallet and cell phone. One of the actors drove away in the victim's BMW, while the other operated another vehicle. The investigation into the incident is continuing.

Oct. 8

• Theft from Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - The victim reported that their unlocked Honda was entered and gone through overnight while parked in the covered parking portion of their apartment complex. There does not appear to be anything missing from the vehicle. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
• Theft (Bryn Mawr) - The victim reported that a package was stolen off their front porch after being delivered on this date. The investigation into the incident is continuing.

Oct. 7

• Theft from Vehicle (Penn Wynne) - The victim reported that in the early morning hours they heard their Dodge beep in the driveway. At this time, the victim looked outside and observed a group of juveniles entering their unlocked Dodge and Mercedes. Upon police arrival, the juveniles were unable to be located. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
• Theft from Vehicle (Penn Wynne) - Officers located an unlocked Ford which had been entered and gone through recently. A credit card was removed from this vehicle. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
• Theft from Vehicle (Penn Wynne) - Officers located an unlocked Honda which had been entered and gone through recently. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
• Theft from Vehicle (Merion Station) - The victim reported that their unlocked Honda was entered and gone through overnight while parked in the driveway of their residence. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
• Theft (Bala Cynwyd) - The victim reported that multiple packages were stolen from the mail room of their apartment complex sometime during the day on Oct. 4. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
• Burglary (Ardmore) - The victim reported that when they returned home to their residence, they observed that their rear door had a broken pane of glass and that a rear window had a ripped screen. The actor(s) attempted to enter the residence and nothing at this time appears to be missing. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
• Theft (Wynnewood) - The victim reported that numerous packages were stolen from the mail room of their apartment complex between Oct. 4 and Oct. 6. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Oct. 5

• Theft from Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - The victim reported that their unlocked Land Rover was entered and gone through overnight while parked in the driveway of their residence. The victim stated that their wallet was stolen from inside the vehicle. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
• Theft from Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - A unlocked Infiniti was located in the driveway of the victim's residence. The vehicle was entered and gone through, but it was unknown if anything was taken. The investigation into the incident is continuing.

Oct. 3

• Theft from Vehicle (Penn Wynne) - The victim reported that their unlocked Acura was entered and gone through overnight while parked in the back alley of their residence. The victim advised that their wallet and other items were taken from inside the vehicle. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
• Theft (Ardmore) - The victim reported that a package was stolen from their front porch sometime over the previous weekend. The investigation into the incident is continuing.

Sept. 29

• Theft of Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim reported that their Jeep was stolen from their driveway in the overnight hours. The Jeep was left unlocked with the key fob left inside. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
• Theft from Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - While investigating the above theft, an unlocked Volkswagen was discovered to have been entered and gone through in the overnight hours. The investigation is continuing.
• Theft of Bicycles (Merion Station) - The victim reported that multiple bicycles were stolen from an unlocked garage sometime over the past week. The investigation into the incident is continuing.

Sept. 28

• Theft from Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - The victim reported that the rear driver's window of their GMC was broken out and the interior of the vehicle was gone through. The investigation into the incident was ongoing.

Sept. 27

• Robbery (Bala Cynwyd) - Two actors entered a local business and one of the actors displayed two black handguns. One of the employees was ordered to open the cash registers, and the actors fled into Philadelphia with cash from the registers. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
• Theft of Purse (Ardmore) - The victim reported that while dinning at a local restaurant their purse containing a cell phone and wallet was taken. The victim stated that they hung the purse on the back of their chair while eating. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
