Other aspects of the project as recommended by the Circulation Element of the Comprehensive Plan: include:
- Ensure that passenger amenities at bus and rail transportation facilities are safe and attractive;
- Continue to provide a safe, convenient, and efficient multi-modal transportation system (Township and regional-basis);
- Improve commuter access for all modes of transportation to reduce the number of transit users who drive to the station and provide ADA accommodations at transit stations and bus stops utilized by residents; and
- Actively advocate for continued service on all Amtrak and Septa rail lines.
Officials said the entire project will take about two-and-a-half years to complete.
