One Reportedly Hurt In Ardmore Shooting Thursday

Police said a shooting is under investigation in the Ardmore section of Haverford Township.

ARDMORE, PA — One person was reportedly hurt in a Thursday afternoon shooting in Ardmore and police are searching to the shooter.

Haverford and Lower Merion township police confirmed a shooting in the Ardmore section of Haverford Township, but could not provide immediate details.

According to DelawareCountyDispatch.com, a call was made at 3:20 p.m. for a gunshot victim at the Palombaro Club, 2632 County Line Road.

According to Action News, the shooting happened at a family memorial service.

Police said video footage from showed a man approach an altercation, pull out a firearm and fire at least one shot at another person.

The shooter then ran out the front door of the club with a woman following him, police said.

Fox 29 reports the victim was shot in the groin.

People in the area scattered and arriving officers treated the victim then EMS crews took him to Lankenau Medical Center, police said.

According to NBC10 the victim is expected to survive.

Action News reports police are searching for the shooter, who police said was wearing Muslim garb at the time of the shooting.
