Stolen Vehicles, Burglaries, More: Lower Merion Crime Blotter

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion released details on recent crimes in the township.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Feb. 21 and March 2.

March 2

Theft from Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim's reported that items were stolen from the cab of their truck while making a delivery at a local Wawa. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

Burglary (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim reported that when they returned home they found the front door of their apartment ajar and heavy ransacking inside. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.

March 1

Theft of Vehicle (Overbrook) - Victim's vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of an apartment building where it was parked. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

Theft of Wallet (Overbrook) - Victim advised that credit cards were stolen from their purse while dining at a local restaurant. Victim advised that their purse was hanging on the back of a chair and they noticed the missing credit cards when they went to pay. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

February 27

Theft of Vehicle (Overbrook) - Victim reported that his delivery vehicle was stolen from in front of Lankenau Hospital. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

February 25

Theft of Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim's Hyundai was stolen from in front of the victim's residence sometime between February 23rd and 25th. It appears a window was broken out by the actors in order to steal the vehicle. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

February 23

Theft of Vehicle (Bryn Mawr) - Victim's Lexus was stolen from the parking lot of a library. The victim advised that they parked their vehicle in the lot overnight after experiencing vehicle trouble. When the victim returned the next morning the vehicle was no longer there. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

February 21

Theft from Vehicle (Overbrook) - Victim's Subaru was entered and gone through sometime over the past couple of days while parked along the street in front of their residence. At this time it does not appear as if anything was removed from the vehicle. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

Burglary (Bala Cynwyd) – Officers responded to the report of a burglary in progress and discovered an unoccupied apartment with force to the door. Two offenders were seen fleeing the scene. The investigation into this incident is continuing.
