Theft, Shooting, More: Lower Merion Crime Blotter

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township issued details on recent crime incidents in the township.

Incidents detailed occurred between Dec. 28, 2023 and Jan. 12, 2024.

Jan. 12

Theft (Bala Cynwyd) - Victim's cell phone and wallet were removed from a locker, which was secured with a lock, while working out at a local gym. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

Theft of a Purse (Ardmore) – Victim's wallet was removed from her purse while eating at a local restaurant. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

Theft (Ardmore) – Victim's jacket was removed from an unlocked locker while working out at a local gym. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

Jan. 11

Theft from Vehicle (Rosemont) – Victim's Toyota was entered and gone through overnight while parked in their driveway. No apparent loss at this time, and the investigation is continuing.

Theft of a bicycle (Bala Cynwyd) – Late report from the holidays of the victim's chained bicycle being removed from a bicycle rack in the parking garage of an apartment building.

Jan. 10

Theft from Vehicle (Merion Station) – Victim's Toyota had a rear window broken out and the vehicle was gone through while parked in a parking lot. No apparent loss at this time and the investigation is continuing.

Theft (Bala Cynwyd) – Victim had credit cards removed from a locker at a local gym while working out. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

Jan. 8

Theft from Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) – Victim's Ford had a rear window broken out overnight while it was parked along the street near the victim's residence. A backpack containing numerous items including electronics was removed from the vehicle. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

Theft from Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) – Victim's unlocked Toyota was entered and gone through overnight while parked in the street in front of their residence. No known loss at this time and the investigation into this incident is continuing.

Theft from Vehicle (Gladwyne) – Victim had cash and credit cards removed from his vehicle while walking his dog at a local park. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

Jan. 6

Theft from Vehicle (Ardmore) – Victim's Lexus had a window broken out and the vehicle gone through while parked in a lot overnight. Cash was removed from the center console. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

Attempt Homicide (Bala Cynwyd) – Officers responded to the report of a shooting and upon arrival discovered a victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Victim was transported to the hospital in stable but serious condition. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

Dec. 29

Theft from Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) – Officers responded to a report of a subject breaking into vehicles in a parking garage. Once on scene, an actor was taken into custody and multiple vehicles were found to have been entered. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

Dec. 28

Theft from Vehicle (Bryn Mawr) – Victim's unlocked Chevrolet was entered and gone through overnight while parked in their driveway. Cash, gift cards and jewelry were removed from the vehicle. The investigation is continuing.
