Thefts Aplenty In Latest Lower Merion Crime Blotter

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township issued details on more crime incidents that have occurred in June.

New incidents highlighted by police occurred between June 13 and June 22.

June 22

• Theft of Bicycle (Bala) - Victim's E-Bike and various accessories were stolen from a shed on his property.
• Theft of Purse (Bryn Mawr) - Victim's wallet was stolen from her purse while dining at a restaurant. Victim advised that she hung her purse on the back of the chair while eating.

June 20

• Theft from Vehicle (Merion Station) - Victim observed an actor attempting to enter vehicles parked in his driveway through his camera system. A check of the vehicles showed that a pair of glasses and two sunglasses were stolen.

June 18

• Attempted Homicide (Bala) - 2 victims were shot following a custody exchange.

June 17

• Theft (Overbrook) - Victim's electric scooter was stolen from the bike rack at Lankenau Hospital.

June 15

• Theft from Vehicle (Bala) - Victim's Dodge Durango had had a rear window broken out. Stolen from the vehicle were cash, a handgun and sneakers.
• Attempted Theft of Vehicle (Bala) - Victim's Jeep Grand Cherokee Track Hawk had a rear window broken out. The glove box was removed and wires were exposed in an apparent attempt to steal the vehicle.
• Attempt Theft of Vehicle (Bala) - Victim's Dodge Durango Hell Cat had a rear window broken out. The glove box was removed and wires exposed. Stolen from the vehicle was a Chanel bag.
• Attempted Homicide (Bala) - 2 victims were shot following a basketball game.

June 14

• Theft from Vehicle (Penn Valley) - Victim's unlocked Volkswagen, which was parked on the street in front of his residence, was entered. A wallet was stolen from the vehicle.
• Theft from Vehicle (Gladwyne) - Victim observed an actor break a window in his vehicle and enter the vehicle. When confronted, the actor left in a silver sedan, which was driven by another suspect.

June 13

• Theft from Motor Vehicle (Gladwyne) - Victim's Volvo had a passenger side window smashed out at a local park. A cell phone left in plain view was stolen.
• Theft of Vehicle (Villanova) - Victim's Range Rover was stolen from his driveway. The vehicle was left unlocked, and the keys were left inside the vehicle.
