Two Lower Merion Twp. Roads Closed Due To Harsh Weather

The township said the public should prepare for more potential closures.

Two Lower Merion Township Roads are closed as a result of Monday's harsh weather, and the township said the public should be prepared for emergency road closures to address more potential issues.

According to the township, Mt. Pleasant Road between Rock Creek and Lafayette roads is closed due to a downed tree on electrical wires.

Additionally, Morris Road at between New Gulph/Old Gulph Road is closed due to an electrical fire started by fallen branches on wires, the township said.

"Please be patient during the next 24-36 hours as there will be emergency road closures for downed trees and electrical repairs due to heavy wind and rain," the township said.

The township said the public should call PECO at (800) 841-4141 or online here to report power outages.
