'Universe, All Is Forgiven': Local Lawmaker's Facebook Post About Donald Trump Goes Viral

Pa. State Senator Daylin Leach reacted with humor to Donald Trump's announcement he'll seek the Republican nomination for president.

Donald Trump has entered the race for president — and one local lawmaker couldn’t be happier.

Pennsylvania State Senator Daylin Leach, in a Facebook post Tuesday, gave many a chuckle with his reaction to Trump’s announcement that he will seek the Republican nomination for president:

The Universe has often said no to me.
When I was 8, I asked for a Pony. No
When I was 14 I asked to be in Led Zeppelin. No
When I was 17 I asked for Suzanne Somers to propose to me. No
When I was 19, I repeated the Suzanne Somers thing. No
When I was 25, I asked for the Nobel Peace Prize. No
Just last week, I asked if we could turn the garage into a man-cave, stocked with beer, and bar-b-que flavored Pork Twanglers. No.
But just when I was about to give up. THIS happens. Universe, all is forgiven!!!

Political analysts say Trump is more than a long shot to win the nomination, and Leach was one of many Democrats who mockingly welcomed him to the presidential race on Tuesday, the Courier Post reported.

The host of The Apprentice reality show, which won’t air during his campaign, joins a field that already includes former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Dr. Ben Carson, Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Lindsey Graham, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Sen. Rand Paul, and possibly Gov. Chris Christie.
