He writes passionately about the struggle of so many around the globe to find clean drinking water.
“To most of us this is just an imagination,” he wrote. “But to about a billion people on our planet this is a tragic reality. That is 1 out of every 7 of us. This has to change.”

His ultimate goal on the page is to raise $2,600, though he notes that it takes about $12,000 to fund an adequate well at a high-need location.
Christos introduces his project poetically:
Imagine waking up to no water
Imagine walking hours for a cup of water
Imagine carrying multiple gallons of water for 10 miles
Imagine fighting the ones around you for a sip
Imagine filtering mud out of your water to get a drink
Imagine bathing in filthy water everyday
Imgaine not having any before you go to sleep
Imagine not having any
Ever
All of the proceeds from the fund will go to thewaterproject.org.
