2 Arrested For Stealing From Main Line Mailboxes
Two Philadelphia men are facing felony charges after authorities allege they stole mail using glue, string, and an orange juice bottle.
BALA CYNWYD, PA — Two men from Philadelphia are facing felony charges after police in Lower Merion allege they stole mail from several mail boxes on the Main Line, according to authorities and a news report.
Randy Nunez-Diaz and Brayan Velez Jaramillo, both 20, of Philadelphia, are facing charges of felony identity theft, felony theft by unlawful taking, and related charges, court documents show.
According to Action News, the pair used a shoestring, an orange juice bottle and glue from a mousetrap to fish mail from a mailbox on Montgomery Avenue.

The pair were arrested Monday on Montgomery Avenue.
Both were held after failing to post $5,000 each. They are slated for July 30 preliminary hearings, court records show.

Action News reports residents in the area have been reporting mail thefts for nearly a year and that police are still looking into the thefts with the hope of making more arrests.
