2 Sought In Cigarette Carton Theft At Bala Cynwyd Wawa
The men seen here allegedly schemed to steal two cartons of cigarettes from the Belmont Avenue Wawa this past weekend, police said.
BALA CYNWYD, PA – Police in Lower Merion Township are seeking two men suspected of stealing cartons of cigarettes from a Bala Cynwyd Wawa recently.
According to police, two cartons of cigarettes were stolen from the Wawa at 189 Belmont Ave. in Bala Cynwyd on Sunday, May 6.
Police said the store manager told them the two men pictured above came into the store pretending not to know one another on that May 6.

One of the men asked for two cartons of Newport cigarettes and and cigar, but when the clerk turned around to get the cigar the second man reached over the counter, grabbed the cigarettes, and both then fled the store, police said.
The men got into a small, black hatchback vehicle and fled east on Belmont Avenue toward City Avenue, according to police.

In total, the store incurred a $154.60 loss in the theft, police said.
