Bala Cynwyd Arson Suspect Arrested: Report

BALA CYNWYD, PA — A person is in Lower Merion Police custody in connection with a suspected arson incident that occurred in Bala Cynwyd Saturday, according to a report.

Main Line Media News reports police have one person in custody after a fire broke out in the morning of Jan. 26 the 100 block of Union Avenue in Bala Cynwyd when someone threw a flammable substance on a porch then set it on fire.

Police later stopped a vehicle nearby and took the driver, whose identity has not been released, into custody, the outlet reports.

No one was hurt and only a small amount of damage was incurred when the fire broke out, according to Maim Line Media News.
