Bala Cynwyd Sak's Fifth Avenue Theft Leads To Felony Charge

A Philadelphia woman allegedly attempted to steal nearly $1,000 of merchandise from the high-end retailer.

BALA CYNWYD, PA – A Philadelphia woman is facing a felony theft charge after allegedly attempting to steal nearly $1,000 from a Bala Cynwyd store, court records show.

Elizabeth Jennings, 33, of Philadelphia, has been charged with felony retail theft and misdemeanor receiving stolen property, according to court records.

Jennings is free after posting 10 percent of $2,500 bail and is slated to appear for her preliminary hearing on June 26, court records show.

Jennings allegedly stole $955 worth of merchandise from Sak's Fifth Avenue in Bala Cynwyd on June 12, according to court records and Main Line Media News.

Staff at the store found her to be in possession of a jacket and a pair of Gucci sunglasses, the outlet reports.
