Congregation Beth Am Israel Presents Local Young Playwright's Fresh Take on the Story of Anne Frank.
Congregation Beth Am Israel presents the play Blank Pages by David Silberthau on Saturday, March 24th 2012. David Silberthau wrote the
play when he was 16 years old while attending Lower Merion High School. In 2010, the play received second place in the Annual Playwriting Festival out of over 290 submissions.
Drawing inspiration from the story of Anne Frank, Blank Pages is a 45-minute one-act play which explores several questions. Who betrayed Anne Frank and those hiding with
her? What drives a person to betray a family in hiding? How does making such a choice affect the rest this person’s life?

“… Jews, are not the victims in this play really, but the people who hurt, the people who are really affected within the course of this play are those who destroyed lives,
who killed people,” said David Silberthau. “…I think it's awesome and very important that Beth Am would put on this play, challenging people to think about things in ways
they probably don't want to.”
Tickets for the show are $8.00. It is recommended that children be at least 12 years old if you are planning to attend. For more information about Blank Pages, please
