Haverford Avenue Closures to Last Several Weeks

With Aqua PA replacing water pipes in downtown , Haverford Avenue will continue closing in sections during the day for several weeks.

The work that began at North Wynnewood Avenue early this week should reach Conway Avenue early next week, assistant borough manager Fred Hansell said. Until then, Haverford will close between North Wynnewood and Conway from about 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each weekday.

Following that, the same schedule will take hold between Conway and Dudley avenues during construction on that segment of Haverford, before the final phase takes place between Dudley and Essex avenues.

Hansell estimated the entire project—the cost of which was not immediately available—should take "maybe three weeks."
