Learn To Avoid Scams At Bala Cynwyd Library

BALA CYNWYD, PA — We've all heard about the various ways scammers try to rob us of our hard-earned money. Calls, emails, letters, solicitations, and more are all among the scammer toolbox.

Luckily, the Bala Cynwyd Library is hosting an event next week that seeks to educate you on scams and how to avoid becoming a victim.

David Shallcross from the PA Attorney General's Office and a representative from the Lower Merion Police Department will present a talk on scams from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 5 at the library.

The event will focus on telephone and internet scams aimed at the public, but particularly the elderly who are targeted more often than others.

The Bala Cynwyd Library is located at 131 Old Lancaster Road in Bala Cynwyd.
