LMPD Officer Named 'Citizen Of The Year' By Neighborhood Club of Bala Cynwyd

Congratulations, Officer James Black!

BALA CYNWYD, PA – The Neighborhood Club of Bala Cynwyd has chosen its "Citizen of the Year," and this year's winner is a Lower Merion Township Police officer who investigated a rash of vehicle burglaries in the township.

Officer James Black was presented the "Citizen of the Year" award at the recently 4th of July parade and celebration, police said.

Black earned the award after investigating many theft from vehicle incidents.

Police said Black's self-initiated research resulted in the arrest of a suspect who was responsible for at least 29 thefts in the township.
