Lower Merion Police: Items Stolen From 5 Unlocked Cars

A suspect has been arrested and will be charged with burglary and theft, police said.

Multiple thefts from unlocked vehicles over the weekend were reported to Lower Merion Township Police, who said Monday they have a suspect in custody.

Five unlocked vehicles were entered overnight on Saturday, Oct. 18, police said, and numerous items were taken from those cars.

The vehicles were parked on the 200 block of Winding Way in Merion; on the 500 block of Conshohocken State Road in Bala Cynwyd; and on the 500 block of Ott Road in Bala Cynwyd.

Among the many items taken from the cars were laptops and GPS units, police said.

A man later was seen trying to open the rear window of a home at undisclosed address. The suspect had with him numerous items taken from the vehicles, police said.
