Lower Merion School District: Harriton TSA Shines At Regional Conference

The Harriton High School Technology Student Association (TSA) recently participated in the 2021 Region-5 Conference hosted at Strayer Middle School in Quakertown as they competed against top schools from throughout southeastern Pennsylvania in a variety of science, technology, engineering and math events.

In preparation for the conference, Harriton's 31 participating students spent weeks diligently researching topics, designing technology and preparing to compete in the full catalog of events, which included Architecture and Biotechnology Design, Coding, CAD Architecture and Engineering, Data Science & Analytics, Forensic Science, Software Development and Video Game Design, among others. Students utilized a variety of resources in advance of the competition, including professionals from the Lower Merion community who generously volunteered their time to share their expertise in related fields.

Ultimately, the Rams collected an impressive seven top-three finishes as a total of 21 students qualified to compete in the State TSA Conference, which will be held in April.
