Lower Merion Seeks Shade Tree Commission Candidates

Lower Merion Township is seeking candidates to serve on its Shade Tree Commission.

According to the township, “The commission has exclusive custody and control of all shade trees on township property and is authorized to plant, remove, maintain and protect all shade trees on the public streets and highways in accordance with the published rules and regulations of the township.”

Nine township residents serve five-year terms on the commission.

Anyone interested should complete the Boards & Commissions Application Form, which can be found on www.lowermerion.org under “Permits & Forms.” The completed application and a current resume should be submitted to Jody L. Kelley, Township Secretary, 75 E. Lancaster Ave., Ardmore, PA 19003 or by e-mail to jkelley@lowermerion.org by Monday, Oct. 6, 2014.
