Main Line Pub Among Best Irish Pubs In Philly, Metro Says
This Main Line pub is the only suburban watering hole to find itself among Metro's list of best Irish pubs in Philadelphia.

Chances are you're going to head out for a pint this weekend to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. And in on the Main Line, you'll want to stop by McCloskey's Tavern as it was the only suburban pub to be featured on a new list of the best Irish pubs in Philadelphia.
Metro Philly created a list of the best Irish pubs in the city and the authenticity of McCloskey's Tavern in Ardmore landed it among the pubs that are in Philly proper, despite it being on the Main Line.

McCloskey’s Tavern in Ardmore first opened its doors in 1934 and has been going strong ever since. On tap, they currently have Allagash White, Chimay Grand Reserve, Conshohocken Motherload Russian Imperial Stout, Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA, Goose Island Sofie, Sterling Pig Shoat Pilsner, Stella Artois, Guinness and more. Their food menu includes homemade soups, appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers and traditional pub favorites like Shepherd’s Pie, Meatloaf and Fish and Chips.
The other pubs to make the list are McGillin's Olde Ale House, Finn McCool's Ale House, O'Neal's Pub, Fergie's, and The Bards.

McCloskey's is located at 17 Cricket Ave. in Ardmore.
