Main Line Rabbi 'Working Tirelessly' Amid Virus: Bala Cynwyd Hero

Rabbi Gil Perl, head of school at Kohelet Yeshiva​ HS, has been raising money for supplies, sourcing materials, building shields, and more.

BALA CYNWYD, PA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

This submission comes from Diane Weintraub, who nominated head of Kohelet Yeshiva High School Rabbi Gil Perl.

Perl has been "working tirelessly to keep our Fab Lab producing face shields," Weintraub said.

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
He has been working tirelessly to keep our Fab Lab producing face shields to donate to first responders and others on the front lines. He has been raising money for supplies, sourcing materials, building shields, coordinating deliveries, and doing whatever needs to be done to get the hundreds of face shields we’ve made to the front lines.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
He works tirelessly for causes he deeply believes in and inspires others to volunteer and help out.
