Is 2014 the year for the move-up buyer? For Delaware Valley and particularly the Main Line, the answer is a resounding yes! Here are the two big reasons why this may be the year to "move up" into a bigger or better home.
Home values are expected to rise again this year, probably at greater rates than in 2013. This means that your house's value will increase, but so will your next home's price. Moving up is a balancing act: you want to get the best price when selling your home, but you also want to buy your next home before prices jump.
Mortgage rates are still under 4.5%, but most experts agree that rates are likely to hit the 6% mark by the end of 2015. By financing a home purchase this year, the lower interest rates will save you hundreds of dollars in your monthly payment.
I hope I've motivated you if you're on the fence. If you have any questions about moving up, please get in touch!
Have a great weekend,
